At Jūgyo Jushoku, freshness is everything - Manager Ishii personally visits the market and keeps direct contact with local fishermen to ensure the best catch of the day. Since June, the restaurant has begun serving breakfast, allowing guests to enjoy exquisite seafood dishes from morning to evening. For this special fair, Ishii has created an exclusive morning-and-lunch-only menu that showcases Fukuoka’s natural sea bream in all its glory. The meal includes tai donabe gohan (sea bream rice cooked in a clay pot), sashimi, agedashi, and ara-jiru (fish soup) - a full sea bream feast that can be enjoyed as is or transformed into ochazuke (rice with tea broth). It’s the perfect way to savor the depth and delicacy of Japan’s beloved sea bream.
Opened last year as a sister restaurant to the popular Itoshima Shokudo, known for its seafood rice bowls, Jūgyo Jyuushoku offers a wide variety of fish dishes, carefully selected for their freshness and provenance. Its signature dish, the Jūgyo Jushoku Sashimi Platter, expresses the beauty of Japan’s four seasons on a single plate.
